African Inspired Crown Walls
Around 1206 large individual sculpted breeze blocks were used and 1206 small individual sculpted breeze blocks were used to make up the crowning walls for the project. The outer face of the walls were painted using Bronze Essence and the inner face of the blocker were painted with antique gold, both metallic colours from Dulux Australia to give the shimmer effect.

Hessian Carpet Development
A hessian carpet print was developed for an authentic natural fibre carpet and developed into a carpet which would be commercially viable and suitable for wear and tear which restaurants face on a daily basis. Working with GH Commercial, over a period of 4 months a bespoke carpet was developed just for the project using their Designer Jet Sheet range to do this. We chose this product due the design flexibility is offers whilst being commercially rated giving us peace of mind that with would last compared to using a natural fibre based carpet.

African inspired Oversized Pendant Lights
22 Oversized rope macramé pendants were made for the project. half of the pendants would be installed inside of the restaurant whilst the other half would be installed just in front of it in the open walkway. Individually wove and sculpted, each pendant weighs around 90kgs and uses over 2kms of rope to make each one. The size of the pendants is 2900mm tall by 1050mm Wide. The development for the unique pendant lights took about 5 months to develop and make with Kent and Lane in South Africa.
