Client: Waikato District Health Board
Location: Waikato Hospital, Pembroke Street, Hamilton
Year of completion: 2018
Value: $220K
One of the most exuberant builds Lobell has completed this project included minor demolition of existing and the installation of a new enquiries desk and information hub in a Waikato’s live hospital environment.
Vibrant designs for both, included suspended acrylic feature panels and wall décor to the enquiries desk, while the IHub was formed out of a high impact acrylic pod mould with translucent digitally printed birds and nature. A nearby existing column was also surrounded by a PVC pipe covered with digitally printed Maori designs.
This was a challenging job and satisfying to handover, the finished product is filled with WOW factor and brightens the red corridor area, used to by most staff and public to commute between various areas of the hospital.
