By Bridget Foley Design
Bought on board with Assembly Architects and Tina Tylee, Bridget Foley Design worked on this stunning new build home over several years. The clients lived overseas during the build, and put their trust in the team whilst coming back to NZ for in depth design meetings. It all began when the client showed us a favourite Christian Tortu green glass vase and said that is the colour she wanted - along with black and white. The result is a beautiful home for a family of five that is timeless and welcoming. Buying trips to Sydney and around NZ helped fill the home with treasures to go along side the clients incredible art collection.
Much of the stunning lighting was sourced from Bridget's favourite suppliers she met whilst working in London, and much of the furniture is custom designed and made for the home. A favourite space is the Library featuring a huge dark stained solid American Oak bookcase, that wraps around the whole room, designed by Bridget Foley Design. A black marble fire surround sourced in Sydney on a buying trip, a murano chandelier complete the beautiful room. The home is testament to the clients well travelled design eye, incredible decision making and understanding of how a huge project like this works.
