The new Yawa Aquatic Centre is a major addition to the Mornington Peninsula and its residents. The centre features an indoor 50-metre competition pool; learn-to-swim pool; warm water program pool; aqua play/splash deck; wellness centre; and gymnasium. Other facilities include a cafe, school group and family change rooms.

Key highlights of the design include a strong emphasis on environmental design features to improve efficiency throughout the building. The aquatic centre has the maximum number of solar panels possible whilst still maintaining safe roof access and symmetry -reducing the impact on the environment through reduced greenhouse emissions and energy consumption.
