Combining the sought-after design features of their custom range with the ease of prefabrication, Heka Hood’s new off-the-shelf solution streamlines ordering without compromising on quality.
Pioneers of Australia’s first bracketless awning system, Heka Hoods have become known for their elegant, minimalist design and versatile customisation options. Now, the Heka Hoods collection is expanding to include a new off-the-shelf range. ArchiPro caught up with the team to learn more about the Express Awning System.
What is the Express Awning System?
“As leaders in architectural sun hood design and manufacturing, we’ve always thrived on mass customisation, giving our clients the option to customise the length and colour of our patented system,” says Heka Hood’s CEO Yvette Kordick. “However, with our Express range, we’re capturing the convenience and speed that a ready-made product range delivers.”
Heka Hoods with customised lengths are a brilliant addition to any build, but with fluctuating timings and plan changes, a quality off-the-shelf product is sometimes exactly what you need.
“We understand that timings with builds and renovations can blow out or change suddenly. A client might change their mind and want additional sun protection at the last minute. With the Express by Heka Hoods range, we can reduce the stress of this situation by providing a quick, reliable sun hood solution without any quality or design compromises for the client.”
The Express range is available in three standard depths — HH300, HH450, and HH600 — with a selection of lengths from 1200mm to 7200mm and three classic matte colours. Customers can easily browse the range online, choose their preferred colour and dimensions, see prices upfront, and place an order for delivery with no production lead times. This is ideal for simple orders of straight hoods and continuous connection.
“We’re proudly Australian owned, designed, and manufactured, which means we understand the climate and environmental conditions our products are made for. All of our Express Awnings are engineered for N1, N2, and N3 wind classifications and made from powder-coated aluminium for durability and performance.”
The same beautiful, quality design — only faster.
Like Heka Hoods’ Architectural range, the Express Range is design-led with a sleek profile and pleasing finish suitable for a variety of architectural styles. It is also simple enough for any construction professional to install thanks to the Heka Hoods trademark bracket-less fixing system.
“We’re proudly Australian owned, designed, and manufactured, which means we understand the climate and environmental conditions our products are made for. All of our Express Awnings are engineered for N1, N2, and N3 wind classifications and made from powder-coated aluminium for durability and performance,” Yvette explains.
Convenience and accessibility are the key benefits of this new collection, Yvette says.
“It’s important to us to ensure our customers don’t have to compromise on quality, aesthetics, or performance when they need a fast turnaround. The Express Awning System solves that problem for them. There are no production lead-times; it’s just a matter of ordering online and waiting for delivery. Once it arrives on site, any qualified construction professional can easily install the hoods for a noticeable improvement to the home’s appearance and sun protection.”
The addition of the Express range is an exciting progression in the Heka Hoods journey. Born out of the desire to provide a reliable, customisable solution suitable for a variety of Australian homes, Heka Hoods’ initial collections answered the brief. Now, with the Express range, they’re pushing the boat further to provide a solution that meets the market need for quality sun hood design without the challenges accompanying production lead times. It’s a win-win.
