Exploring The Most Loved Whites In The Dulux Colours Of New Zealand Range

If you’re looking at choosing a white for your next project, below is some information on four of our most popular shades used by architects and interior designers. We also want to introduce you to our newest white – Dulux Mt Hutt.

Cardrona

Also known as ‘natural white', it is a popular neutral white with a subtle warmth and great light reflection. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a neutral backdrop with a soft feeling of warmth. Cardrona (and its lighter version, Cardrona Half) are great options for adding warmth without being too creamy.

Ōkārito

A cool bright white, Ōkārito creates a fresh, clean and vibrant look, which works well in modern, open-plan spaces as well as a backdrop to showcase artwork, furniture and sculpture. It’s known as ‘painters white’ due to its hint of black tinter (which helps with coverage). It’s also the most popular white in the Dulux Colours of New Zealand range.

Mt Aspiring

A cool, crisp white with subtle grey undertones. Mt Aspiring is great for adding a modern or minimalist edge to a space while maintaining a sleek and sophisticated look. It’s also good for making a space seem larger or brighter in north-facing rooms.

Sandfly Point

The versatile and bright Sandfly Point is a warm creamy white with a subtle green undertone. This shade pairs well with most colours that have a warm undertone, making it perfect when you want to create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere, particularly in more traditional spaces. We’ve seen a resurgence in this classic colour over the past few years as warmer whites become more popular.
