Living Edge™ low-growing instant hedges create defined borders, edges and low structure from the day they are installed.

With conventional hedge planting, a low hedge begins as a row of separate plants and gradually grows together. Living Edge™ hedges have already been grown and trimmed as hedge lengths at our nursery.

Supplied in one-metre lengths, they are ready to install side by side to create a continuous low hedge from day one.

Living Edge™ is suited to garden borders, paths, planting areas, layered hedging and formal features such as parterres and knot gardens. Depending on the variety, these hedges are generally maintained between approximately 250 mm and 500 mm high.

Choose from a range of hedge varieties to suit different landscapes and growing conditions.

Sizes and specifications

Living Edge™ hedges are supplied in 25L or 70L hedge bags, depending on the variety.

25L hedge bag

  • Approx. weight: 25 kg
  • Each hedge length is one metre long, so allow one hedge length for each linear metre of finished hedge.
  • Minimum trench size: approx. 250 mm wide × 150 mm deep.

70L hedge bag

  • Approx. weight: 65 kg
  • Each hedge length is one metre long, so allow one hedge length for each linear metre of finished hedge.
  • Minimum trench size: approx. 400 mm wide × 250 mm deep
