A brass escutcheon plate finishes the area around a door’s keyhole, covering the edges of the cut-out. The range also includes covered designs, such as the Corston Canning Covered Key Escutcheon, which conceal the key opening when it is not in use.
Types of escutcheon
Here are some of the most common escutcheon types available in New Zealand.
Standard profile
Standard profile escutcheons are the most commonly available in New Zealand. They work with any standard deadlock and look good with any door decor.
Euro profile
European escutcheons work only with euro cylinder locks. These locks are highly secure and the escutcheons come in various shapes.
Oval profile
Oval escutcheons work only with oval profile cylinders. These escutcheon types are available in various materials, namely stainless steel and bronze.
