Nestled amongst the trees of One Mile Beach in Port Stephens, stands a picturesque family home - Saltbush by Greenbuild Constructions. Situated on a sprawling 4000sqm, this remarkable space blends traditional coastal aesthetics with elements of modern cottage, complementing its idealistic Australian landscape of rural land, just a stone’s throw from the beach.

Guided by the vision of meeting modern family needs while keeping the homes size to a minimum, the project's primary aim was to create a three bedroom home with expansive living areas that seamlessly extended from the existing garage and studio.

A standout feature, adored by both the homeowners and the builders, is the high raked ceiling adorned with custom-designed Velux skylights. These elements flood the space with natural light, creating an airy, inviting atmosphere in the living space and kitchen. The beautiful kitchen was custom designed and built by Bliss Kitchens.

Another striking facet is the incorporation of Aussietecture stone walling throughout the home, particularly prominent in contrast with the Havwoods timber flooring featured in the main living area.

Chosen for its natural European Oak top layer and engineered structural stability, Hawthorn timber flooring from the Urban Living Collection, not only met the technical requirements of a direct stick, glue down application but also elevated the space's aesthetic appeal. The blonde tones of Hawthorn work perfectly in this traditional coastal style and ground the space with the timbers natural beauty of knots and shakes.

Greenbuild Construction's experience with Havwoods was exceptionally positive. The team found Havwoods' pre-finished product and seamless installation process instrumental in reducing build time. The supportive Havwoods team, from showroom visits to installation, ensured a smooth journey from selection to completion.
