The Construction Timeline of Airlie Ivanhoe:
Balmain & Co were awarded the construction of Airlie Residences in early 2020.
Construction of the retirement living apartments commenced not long after the award. Located on the on the footstep of Ivanhoe Village and surrounded by bustling shopping strips, both logistics and the global pandemic presented challenges throughout the build of this project.
Construction Update: August 2020
Construction of the main works commenced on site at Airlie Residences with the first slab on ground concrete pour taking place earlier this month. Our project team are looking forward to seeing this exciting project come to life on Waverley Road, Ivanhoe.
Construction Update: September 2020
It’s been an exciting month on site at Airlie Residences in Ivanhoe. The tower crane was erected, along with the gantry and concrete boom. All concrete slabs and precast panels have also been installed up to ground level, and all ahead of schedule!
Construction Update: October 2020
The structure is well underway at Airlie Residences in Ivanhoe. Majority of the stripping works to the basement levels are now complete, the last of the ground floor infill slab pours are also complete, along with the first and second concrete pours for Level-2. Finishes works for the basement have also commenced with soffit insulation, blockwork and services install currently taking place.
Construction Update: February 2021
Airlie continues to take shape as facade window installation nears completion. External waterproofing, painting, metalworks, and balustrade installation are all progressing nicely, along with waterproofing and plant works on the roof. Interior trades are also making progress with painting and tiling currently taking place on the ground floor, carpentry and floor preparation on Level-1 and plastering on Level-2 through to Level-4.
Supporting Local Business: March 2021
As part of our Balmain & Community initiative the team at Airlie partnered with local Italian restaurant Woodfire Pizzeria & Cucina who did a superb job, cooking up a storm and providing delicious, artisan style woodfire pizzas on site. The team at Woodfire use premium local and traditional Italian ingredients day-in and day-out, and have been a part of Ivanhoe’s dining and lifestyle culture for over 20 years.
Construction Update: June 2021
The residences at Airlie are just about ready for their new owners to call them home as the final paint, cleaning, trade and consultant defecting takes place.
The main entry lobby waterproofing is complete with internal wall and floor finishes due to finish up over the next week. The commercial kitchen is also complete, and the remaining common areas such as the cinema, private dining, library, sports bar and lounge continue to progress towards completion.
Services testing and inspections have also begun and will continue over the next few weeks. Along with landscaping throughout the site, asphalt works, kerb and footpath construction which are all currently progressing well.
