A finalist in the International Dulux Colour Awards, this Albany Home project showcases a modern design achieved within a tight budget, featuring creative use of a limited colour palette and textures, resulting in a smart and sharp aesthetic.
This project was a finalist in the International Dulux Colour Awards – Residential Interior.
The owners wanted an inspirational and modern design, but within a tight budget. By obtaining a detailed client brief, and a clear understanding of the financial constraint, Donna was able to be creative and meet the budget. In fact, tight budgets make her more creative.
A lot of clients have trouble visualising, and so at their request Donna produced Mood boards of the exterior and interior finishes and colours. She worked with a limited colour palette, repeated it in subtle and interesting ways, and played with texture and sheen. The finished result has been described as smart and sharp.
