This property is nearing the end of an amazing transformation. Redesigned, with a new lease of life given to the exterior and entranceway, it was time to tackle the kitchen.
The brief was specific- modern, with wow factor, black, to match the house exterior, seating to enjoy the spectacular sea view, and a scullery. All to be encompassed in a small footprint. As my clients are both architects, they had done their homework and even had hand-drawn plans and elevations. Through lots of discussions and sharing of expertise we refined and reworked their ideas into a stunning kitchen, which also met their specific budget.
Black cabinetry was lifted and defined by specifying three benchtop materials; resilient and visually striking Dekton Laurent to working areas, warmed, and softened by the solid wood seating area and practical stainless steel in the scullery. Three different bench thicknesses also meant three different base cabinet heights!
An open drinks cabinet with a mirrored back and Laurent serving shelf, welcomes you into the kitchen. Sitting level with the solid wood waterfall of the bar, this area defines the kitchen from the lounge.
Another must, was keeping all horizontal lines level throughout the kitchen and scullery. This was achieved by careful consideration of the appliance heights, and placement of floating shelves and wall cabinets.
Every millimeter was put into use – from creating a scullery with a second sink, to fitting shelving into the space created by the back of the fridge. A stunning space with ‘wow’ factor!
Kitchen Studio North Shore is a magnificent success story thanks to Paul and Karen's focus (some might say obsession) on excellence. In fact, everyone on their team, from the award-winning kitchen designers, to the craftsmen responsible for installing new kitchens, is also passionate about achieving excellence in everything they do. If you visit their stunning showroom at William Pickering Drive, you can't help be inspired by the quality of the kitchens on display.
Karen says, "The kitchen is probably the most important room in any home. That's why our kitchen transformation process starts with you in your home. We want to understand you and your family's needs, so we can help you create your dream kitchen".
Paul added, "I'm very proud of what we've achieved on the Shore, our clients demand excellence and, that's what our team lives for".
