NATURAL SELECTION

Bringing together a harmonious blend of natural materials, the exterior features clean, contemporary architectural lines with high-sloping rooflines that create a striking silhouette.

Vertical cedar weatherboards add warmth and texture, and adding a touch of rugged elegance, a striking schist pillar leads the way to the front door. This combination of natural stone and timber creates an attractive, inviting entryway, setting the tone for the rest of the home.

SPACE, LIGHT, AND VIEWS

The 227m² pavilion-style layout offers three bedrooms plus a study that can double as a fourth bedroom. High sloping ceilings in the kitchen, dining, and family areas create an open and airy atmosphere, while extra-height windows let in loads of sunlight and offer great views. Living spaces flow effortlessly to the outdoor areas, perfect for that indoor-outdoor Kiwi lifestyle.

Scott Vile, Franchisee for Landmark Homes New Plymouth and Taranaki, explains that pavilion-style homes are proving increasingly popular thanks to their modern and spacious feel. “Pavilion homes are definitely rising in demand, especially on rural properties that offer a bit of space.

With a practical single-level layout, their design is perfect for the changing needs of families across various ages and stages.”

Although the Showhome is based on Landmark Homes 264.8m² Lakeside Ready to Build plan, the floorplan has been reduced to suit the site. “It’s a good example of how clients can customise our Ready to Build plans to suit different lifestyles, preferences and sites,” says Scott.

WARM AND INVITING

Designed by interior designer Megan Ekdahl, the decor features an earthy colour scheme with tones of olive, mustard, greys, blacks, and creams. The Quickstep Soft Oak laminate flooring and Feltex carpet in Salisbury Solstice ties it all together beautifully to create a relaxed, inviting atmosphere.

"Using neutral colours as a base, Megan added accents of gold and darker shades of green throughout the home," says Scott. "These touches bring a cohesive look and add a bit of luxury to each room."

In the kitchen and living areas, tongue-and-groove timber cathedral ceilings add rustic charm without compromising on the modern feel. Combined with skylights, a generously high stud height, and cathedral windows, the main living area feels beautifully spacious with plenty of natural light.

Unique design elements, such as the black framed glass doors that separate the kitchen and private lounge, add a contemporary touch. These doors not only look stylish but also let natural light flow through the home, enhancing the overall sense of openness and connectivity.

ON-TREND IN THE KITCHEN

Inspired by the latest trends, the modern kitchen showcases sleek black cabinetry paired with top-of-the-line black Fisher & Paykel appliances. The large island breakfast bar is perfect for casual meals and entertaining, adding both functionality and style to the space.

Just off the main kitchen area is a spacious butler’s pantry, providing extra storage and keeping the main kitchen clutter-free. It’s the ideal setup for those who love to cook and entertain, offering plenty of room to prep, store, and organise.

BATHROOM BLISS

The bathrooms perfectly balance aesthetic appeal and practical design. The powder room makes a bold statement with its feature wallpaper in black with green birds and gold accents. A beaded gold-edged mirror adds a touch of elegance, tying the room together beautifully.

The family bathroom and ensuite continue the theme of sophisticated design. The main bathroom features grey tiles, twin oval mirrors, and a full-tiled shower. The ensuite includes twin sinks, ensuring ample space and convenience. Both bathrooms use large grey floor tiles, which not only add a trendy industrial-chic look but are also practical for everyday use.

EASY OUTDOOR LIVING

The outdoor living space is perfect for entertaining and enjoying the relaxed Kiwi lifestyle. The deck and alfresco dining area are designed to make the most of the all-day sun, providing a great space for summer meals and gatherings.

The indoor-outdoor flow is seamless, thanks to the large slider doors that open from both the separate lounge and the formal lounge onto the deck. This setup is ideal for hosting guests or simply spending time with family, making the most of the beautiful outdoor environment.

ELEGANCE IN EVERY DETAIL

Featuring black cabinetry and appliances, the laundry offers a stylish and cohesive look. There's plenty of bench space for all your laundry needs, making it both functional and efficient.

The design ensures that even the laundry area feels upscale and well-integrated with the rest of the home's interior.
