The addition of finials, gracefully attached to curved exposed feature beams, along with timber detailing and intricate fretwork, emphasise the classic villa aesthetic.
Inside, heritage elements include ceiling roses – a quintessential villa feature – and an elegant internal arch with corbelled ends in the hallway. The hallway itself stands out with panelling and timber moulding, perfectly capturing the classic villa aesthetic while seamlessly integrating modern materials.
Plenty of natural light was another must-have for this five bedroom home, achieved with the addition of a large bay window and wide opening sliders in the living spaces.
In a clever blend of past and present, the kitchen reflects a home that honours its historical roots while catering to the demands of modern living. A colour palette of calming blue and crisp white is offset with pops of black and custom detailing. Antique-style tapware and a ceramic sink bowl hark back to a bygone era, while retro-style appliances add nostalgia without compromising on function. A well-thought-out addition is the scullery which provides extra storage and preparation space, leaving the main kitchen area clean and uncluttered.
The main suite offers a spacious yet cosy haven, where classic villa charm meets contemporary design. As with the rest of the home, high ceilings adorned with ceiling roses elevate the room's elegance.
A spacious walk-in wardrobe with custom-built shelving flows seamlessly into a fully tiled ensuite. This space is designed for relaxation and tranquillity with light blush subway tiles that complement the bedroom’s pastel pink and green hues.
This remarkable home stands as a shining example of Landmark Homes' expertise in crafting homes infused with personality and character. It's a testament to Landmark Homes' commitment to marrying aesthetic excellence with forward-thinking, quality construction, ensuring that each new build isn't just a house, but a legacy.
“It’s fair to say that Kate and her family absolutely love their new home,” says Landmark Homes Auckland South & Franklin franchise co-owner Michael Walters.
For Kate and Jason, their beautiful new villa is not merely a nod to the past but a canvas for creating new memories that their family will treasure for generations.
