Contemporary residence completed in 2023, featuring a wing roof overlay that harmonizes with the diverse topography, creating a spacious yet recessive home that embraces the natural contours of the site.

Considered from above, the wing roof overlay expresses suspension and flight over a diverse topographical terrain. The result is a spacious yet recessive home that rests gently on the land, embracing the existing contour and natural character of the site. Soft shapes and sharp edges provide contextual balance and transparent forms ensure a constant engagement from within to beyond.

“David and Matt were excellent, they listened to what we wanted to achieve and worked with us to make sure it all happened. The design they presented really pushed the boundaries but that’s what we asked for and still ticked all the boxes. We chose them because they knew this was a huge opportunity for me as a concrete specialist and they’d proven their skills in previous work together.”
