Galway Street Auckland

As part of the Britomart redevelopment program, the owners of this building have done themselves proud. By rescuing this 1898 building, which initially cost £12,000 to construct, we now get to appreciate an excellent example of New Zealand’s architectural history. Cheshire Architects have been involved in several projects at Britomart and this is another example of their outstanding ability to breathe life back into these treasured buildings.

For Accumen Shapes, it was a great privilege to reproduce a number of the damaged decorative mouldings caused by more than 100 years of wear and tear, with MacKenzie Plasterers supplying the craftsmanship required to install them.
