Rings Beach Project.

Overview

Rings Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula provided the perfect backdrop for a family home filled with mid-century character and coastal harmony. Built by award winning HAMR Home for the builder’s family, the residence combines vertical pine weatherboards, oak floors, expansive glazing, and high raked ceilings to create a light-filled, timeless retreat.

To complement the design, NZ Windows Whitianga installed the UNEX Siena Framed Glass Balustrade with a PRR handrail. The result is a seamless balance of safety, structure, and uninterrupted ocean views -ideal for coastal living

Design and Technical Requirements

The home’s elevated decks, staircases, and outdoor living areas required a balustrade system that was both structurally robust and visually unobtrusive. The brief called for:

• Safety compliance with New Zealand Building Code.
• Durability for a coastal environment.
• Transparency to maintain ocean and bush views.

The project relied on the expertise of NZ Windows Whitianga, who delivered precise fabrication and on-site installation. Their workmanship ensured accurate alignment, secure anchoring, and flawless detailing-all while meeting strict safety requirements.

The open balustrade system enhances the home’s inviting, light-filled character while providing robust safety. Rings Beach stands as a testament to design-led construction crafted through skilled collaboration.
