Safa-Slat Privacy Screens and Air Conditioning Covers for a New Apartment Block Within Retirement Village
2.7m-high Safa-Slat privacy screens and bespoke, removable air conditioning covers, engineered for a new apartment block on a tight North Shore site.
Lady Allum Retirement Village sits within Oceania Group's existing retirement facility on Auckland's North Shore, where a new 44-unit apartment block was built on a constrained footprint. The site conditions meant privacy and screening needed to be resolved carefully around the existing facility.
UNEX's engineering team worked directly with the architect to design 2.7m-high privacy screens using the Safa-Slat system, along with bespoke, removable air conditioning covers built on the same product line.
The result gives residents privacy screening and discreet AC unit covers that fit within the constraints of the existing retirement facility, rather than being retrofitted as an afterthought.
