A stunning three-storey, four-bedroom rebuild in Huntsbury, featuring future-proof design elements, breathtaking city views, and extensive outdoor living spaces, expertly crafted by Simplexity Builders and architect Keith Usher.
Perched high on the hill, in the tucked away suburb of Huntsbury, sits this beautiful three-storey, four-bedroom home. This home was an earthquake rebuild and brought with it the challenge of designing and building a new home even better than the one that came before it.
The elderly homeowner wanted to use the rebuild scenario as an opportunity to repurpose the home, to give future-proofed options. So a lift was installed between the first and second storey and a self-contained downstairs flat was included on the ground floor. All the while, it was paramount to maximise the views over the city and provide plenty of outdoor living areas.
Simplexity met the brief – and more – and the client was delighted with the end result. As with any hill build it undertakes, the team at Simplexity is acutely aware of access issues and clever construction. Health and safety considerations are always paramount. By building over three levels, the team was able to create a warm and inviting home that makes the most of the sea views and beyond. Extensive retaining walls were constructed even before the home build got underway, and these now provide an excellent location for flower and vegetable gardens.
At 271 square metres, this home was no small undertaking, but Simplexity Builders rose to the challenge and, like the client, is proud of how this build was accomplished.
