Brief/Challenges
The clients wanted to experience their home more freely and allow for better circulation spaces around the home as well as ample opportunities for leisure and entertainment purposes.
Some areas had experienced water ingress and water damage to structural elements. These needed to be redesigned to future proof the structural integrity of the home.
Construction
The facade was re-clad in cedar at the rear, plaster render at the road front and partially rebuild to meet current building code requirements.
The exterior promenade was mostly constructed of steel, glass and tropical hardwood to withstand the harsh coastal weather.
