The Laing Headquarters is a new facility on 2 hectare site which consists of over 40 individual building sites for new build properties plus spaces for renovating the relocatable homes & wash down facilities. The large 1200m2 warehouse & office spaces have been designed to serve as a central hub for both Laing properties who are a leading manufacturer of residential and prefab transportable houses and a renowned specialist in re-locating & renovating second hand buildings. Situated on the outskirts of Rolleston, this facility integrates a warehouse for efficient material storage & production and a modern office building, promoting connectivity and collaboration within all aspects of the business. The warehouse component of the Laing Headquarters is designed to streamline the manufacturing process and features a spacious layout to efficiently accommodate the assembly of modular components. The on-site office building is strategically integrated with the warehouse to facilitate communication between production and administrative teams, optimising workflow and ensuring a smooth production process. The building’s design utilises clean lines, a sleek façade, and a blend of metal and Lunawood cladding, contributing to a visually appealing entrance that departs from the conventional warehouse building. Emphasis is placed on natural light and ventilation, creating a comfortable and energy efficient environment for the occupants. A contemporary and ergonomic office layout is adopted, creating a flexible work environment for the staff. This includes private offices, collaborative spaces, meeting rooms, and breakout areas designed to enhance employee well-being and productivity. Hierarchy Group assumed the roles of lead Designer, Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager on site, overseeing the Design of all trades & Site Management. This project was delivered within the original target construction programme with a high attention to detail from all trades.
