Creating an outdoor living or entertaining space requires both artistic vision and practical considerations. The space should provide a comfortable and attractive oasis for people to enjoy, with products that can withstand the elements to ensuring the landscape retains its appearance with minimal effort.

For this Melbourne residential entertaining area, DECO Australia teamed up with the owner and builder to create a sanctuary befitting the high-end residence. The outdoor cabana area was clad in durable DecoClad® in a stunning V-Groove profile that added natural depth and beauty. The non-combustible cladding could be used not only in the outdoor area but around the barbecue, providing a timber appearance without a fire risk.

To create a stunning sitting area and a seamless pathway to it up the garden, DecoDeck® was used, in a stylish 94mm board. A dimensionally stable aluminium decking option, DecoDeck® met the requirements of the owners, who required a hardwearing decking that would not decay or rot away, and could support the weight of their 60kg dog. The Super Durable™ DecoWood® finish used for the decking was also ideal for resisting claw scratches, as well as withstanding everyday wear and tear. This marine grade, corrosion resistant finish was also ideal for standing up to Melbourne weather, protecting against damage from moisture or pollution.

The owners chose the DecoWood® Weathered Timber finish, a soft grey mimicking the tones of natural weathered timber for a realistic touch.
