TigerTurf WETT Pro installed over Tencate Ecocept forms the most technically advanced eco-sensitive hockey system in the world. Hockey Hibiscus Trust selected our top hockey system, because it complies with its strategy of sustainable development.

TigerTurf WETT Pro
TigerTurf WETT Pro system has been tested to current FIH (Federation International Hockey) global standards Providing longer life expectancy than any other product on the market, TigerTurf has developed the WETT Pro surface using advanced fibre technology exclusive to TigerTurf. The unique texturised monofilament yarn ensures a grain-free playing surface which means the ball and stick travels smoothly in all directions.

Safer playing conditions for years longer on TigerTurf WETT Pro
TigerTurf WETT Pro has proven to be durable even in constant use throughout the year and has the longest playing life of any performance sports turf currently on the international market.

  • a) The combination of Ecocept and WETT Pro creates an excellent shock-absorbing layer that avoids impact injuries and cushions falls.
  • b) Because players have a safer foothold on the specialised fibre used in WETT Pro
  • c) Players can freely move their sticks without catching on grain or infill

TigerTurf Lumosa LED lighting at Metro Park
The hockey players can play safely at night with the highly efficient Lumosa LEDS sports lighting system.   Lumosa LED’s provide daylight conditions on the darkest night, along with all the sustainable benefits sought by Hockey Hibiscus Trust,

  • a) Significantly lower running costs
  • b) More effective, focused lights that last longer and require no warming up period.
  • c) The fully automatic lighting system can be set to the playing timetable or controlled by a mobile phone app at a distance.

Metro Park Hockey and Multi-Sport pitches
This outstanding eco-sensitive hockey pitch is the triumph of Hockey Hibiscus Trust’s ten-year plan to provide local hockey players with their own international hockey pitch.

As part of this entirely new facility, TigerTurf has also constructed a specific 5-a-side hockey field which also includes clear, permanent markings for three full-sized futsal fields, all edged by a concrete rebound wall with goals built into the fence line.

The next stage has been planned to include a multi-sport area with a long jump, tennis wall, volleyball, and playground. The sports centre is intended for hockey, futsal, general community sporting activities, and play, as well as community events such as birthday parties, casual family groups, and business sports teams.

New Zealand’s only synthetic turf manufacturer with a passion for performance.
Performance is everything when it comes to synthetic turf.

You need a surface that will go the distance, with minimal maintenance. We provide dependable, high performance surfaces for:

  • Sports fields, courts, and greens
  • School campuses
  • Playgrounds
  • Residential lawns
  • Commercial landscaping

And more. With our decades of experience, we’ll find a solution that is high quality and high performance, without being high maintenance

- Made in New Zealand
We’re one of the largest synthetic turf manufacturers in the world, but we started in Auckland, New Zealand in 1981. We still make almost all of our products in our Auckland factory, with materials manufactured by our parent company, TenCate Grass. Local manufacturing means that we can ensure quality is maintained throughout the process.

- Experience and Expertise
You want to make sure the company you choose to work with knows what they're doing. We've been in the synthetic turf industry for almost 40 years, and have also been instrumental in developing the products and systems that result in world class, top performing surfaces. We design, manufacture, install and maintain our surfaces, applying the innovation and expertise we've gained over the years into every project - large or small.

- Accreditations and Memberships
Because of the quality, performance and realistic nature of TigerTurf’s artificial grass, TigerTurf is recommended for high level training and competition. Many of our artificial grass turfs have been approved and certified by world sporting bodies, including FIFA, World Rugby, FIH, and ITF. It's also ISO 9001 accredited.

- Quality and Innovation
We control the quality and performance of every synthetic turf system we create, in our own factory, at every step of the production process. We control where and how our yarns are extruded. We control which products go into our fibres. We develop and manufacture our own backing cloths. We develop, manufacture and build the performance bases that we lay our turf systems over. And finally, we can recycle our old, end-of-life products into new, start-of-life products.
