Establishing a fully operational supermarket into an existing retail mall was the challenge presented to the New World Shore City design team. Working within a tenancy that was once a book store introduced constraints not only in regards to the operational and service solutions required but also in regards to how a supermarket should be presented visually to the customer and the larger mall environment. The design needed to cross the line between both a world class grocery retail operation while also providing a quick service food solution that would suit the target customer base associated with the mall consumer.
