Pastarita

At Hellospace, we were tasked with transforming the existing space of Pastarita—an authentic Italian restaurant in Westfield Newmarket. With a modest budget and a tight 16-week timeline, our goal was to create a warm and inviting dining experience that reflected the client's brand roots while adhering to mall regulations. 

Embracing the challenge, our design concept blended traditional Italian charm with bohemian aesthetics. Elements like wooden spoons, dried pasta, and hanging garlic bulbs were incorporated into the décor, enhancing intimacy and warmth. The shopfront became a standout destination with Italian-inspired mouldings, a semi-open awning, and distinctive installations that added character and brand visibility. 

By repurposing existing materials and focusing on sustainable design, we successfully delivered a space that captures the essence of the Italian culinary experience. Pastarita's new space not only exceeded the client's expectations but also delighted patrons and the Westfield team, showcasing our expertise in impactful design solutions, functional space planning, and sustainable practices—recognised with the Colour + Texture Winner award by the Retail Interior Design Association in 2024.
