Set in Point Chevalier, Point Cottage is the transformation of a traditional weatherboard cottage into a relaxed contemporary family home. The renovation creates a stronger connection between the house and garden, extending outdoors to a new pool and entertaining area. Natural materials, earthy tones and rich timber detailing bring warmth throughout, while the ensuite draws inspiration from relaxed Balinese interiors. The result retains the character of the original cottage while giving it a distinctly contemporary, laid-back feel.

“Samantha (Sam) Elliot from ‘Studio Elliot’ has been fabulous to work with on our extensive villa renovation. She is an absolute gem and someone we would love to work with again. Sam is a highly experienced design practitioner, with extensive knowledge, connections and ideas to really bring out the best in any space. We found her personable, knowledgeable, thorough, detail focused and thoughtful. Sam listens to what you are thinking or want, layering in ideas to create spaces that are practical, inviting and look fabulous! Our villa is now modern yet timeless, and functional yet refined. Our home feels calm and considered to live in ...we LOVE it! Sam was also well regarded by the rest of our build team and a true asset to the project. We feel lucky to have been recommended Sam, she definitely stands out from the crowd in the best way!”
