Set within the inner-city suburb of Westmere, Urban Garden balances a distinctly urban material palette with a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. Full-height glazing opens the interiors to established greenery, bringing softness and natural light into the home. Bespoke joinery forms an integral part of the architecture, extending from the kitchen and living spaces through to the bathrooms, office and music room. Warm timber, stainless steel, blockwork and black detailing create a restrained material palette, softened by the garden beyond.

“Samantha (Sam) Elliot from ‘Studio Elliot’ has been fabulous to work with on our extensive villa renovation. She is an absolute gem and someone we would love to work with again. Sam is a highly experienced design practitioner, with extensive knowledge, connections and ideas to really bring out the best in any space. We found her personable, knowledgeable, thorough, detail focused and thoughtful. Sam listens to what you are thinking or want, layering in ideas to create spaces that are practical, inviting and look fabulous! Our villa is now modern yet timeless, and functional yet refined. Our home feels calm and considered to live in ...we LOVE it! Sam was also well regarded by the rest of our build team and a true asset to the project. We feel lucky to have been recommended Sam, she definitely stands out from the crowd in the best way!”
