Project Hidden Gem

The Hidden Gem project by Modern Age Kitchens and Joinery was completed in 2024 and showcases a contemporary building style that exudes sophistication and elegance. 

The kitchen, designed to be the focal point of a builder's new home, combines functionality with visual impact. With a focus on darker colours and timber elements, the space integrates appliances, smart storage solutions, and crafted details that harmonize with the overall design of the home. The large walk-in pantry behind an oak slatted wall and the engineered stone bench repeated on the island, hob bench, and splashback add texture and visual interest, making this kitchen a stunning showpiece for everyday family life and a gathering place for guests. 

Awards received for this project include the Best Canterbury Region Award from NZ Master Joiners in 2024 and the Best Kitchen $50,000+ from Canterbury Master Joiners in the same year. With a range of high-quality suppliers featured, such as Resene, Hafele, Blum, and more.
