John and Rachelle Creighton’s home at Red Beach is a striking blend of resort-style luxury and year-round functionality. Expansive glass doors frame the breathtaking ocean views, while durable materials ensure the house stands up to the harsh coastal conditions. The design embraces natural elements, with stone walls and aluminium joinery chosen for their low maintenance and longevity. “We needed materials that could handle the environment without a lot of upkeep,” John explains.

A standout feature of the home is the stonework, which became a central design element after Rachelle spotted the perfect stone on a house in Auckland. The stone’s texture and tone were integrated into both the exterior and interior, creating a cohesive look that ties the house to its natural surroundings. This attention to detail is reflected throughout the property, from the landscaping to the interior finishes, where every decision was made to enhance both the aesthetics and the livability of the home.
