Banks Peninsula House - Wilson & Hill Architects | ArchiPro

Banks Peninsula House

The house is orientated for the sun and for the views towards the bays below. It is clad in one material (a long run metal cladding) and is of one colour. The form of the house consists of 5 offsets pitched roof modules. The pitched roofs relate to other simple rural building forms in the area and the offsetting of them decreases the bulk of the house.

The spaces between the offset modules provide a variety of outdoor areas, courtyards and decks that offer sheltered areas in differing weather conditions and sun at different times of the day. Photovoltaic panels on the garage roof generate electricity for the property and rainwater collected off roofs provide the water required.
