Shoal Bay

Shoal Bay is a five bedroom, five bathroom luxury build, designed to capture picturesque views while standing up to the elements of a coastal environment. Local architect Graham Pitt has employed clean lines and angles, to lead your eye to the stunning landscape. Throughout windows are positioned to catch light at all times of the day and to show glimpses of the outdoors no matter where you are in the home. This precision demanded a flawless finish from Create + Construct; from the flush, full-height interior doors, to the light filled stairwell accentuated by a minimal curving balustrade. The outside the home is just as beautiful, especially when viewed from it's own private boat ramp.  Being by the sea meant a warm, dry house was essential to the client. Create + Construct utilised a concrete block structure with Stotherm insulated plaster cladding and a Enviroclad polyiso warm flat roof system. Vertical cedar clads the outside so the house blends in with it's natural environment, and full height double glazed joinery provide maximum view appreciation while keeping the house light and insulated.  Equally important was ensuring this modern build not only felt warm but also radiated character. To achieve this, natural travertine stone flooring has been used throughout, a 6m waxed-steel pivot door and a waxed-steel fireplace were custom made, glass mosaic tiles coat the 16m pool and spa, and a steel enamel bath offers the perfect place to enjoy the views. Spaces for entertainment include the kitchen with an extensive open scullery, the gym, and home theatre. And with finishing touches by Trinity Interior design, this home is truly unique.
