Westmere

Maintaining the original features in this Westmere Bungalow was paramount to the client. Create + Construct successfully balanced the restoration of heritage details with the luxuries of modern life. Contemporary materials and high end fittings were chosen to honour the homes history and to ensure this family house will last a lifetime. Outside conchilla brushed limestone pavers lead you to a stained glass front door. Inside, the dark grey palette is slick and sophisticated. The pressed ceilings and timber beams in the lounge were restored, while new matai flooring has been added for warmth. Textured tiles and plywood walls add interest and individuality. The galley style kitchen is designed by Poggenpohl and features a hardwearing slate bench. Light floods into the dining area from a large slider door that opens out to a covered deck and private patio seating.
