Arriving at the main building, a masonry two story form with a very large overhanging and protective roof, a series of large sliding doors stack to create an 8 metre wide opening connecting a dining pavilion with the internal living area. The swimming pool is a focal point of the way living is undertaken.  Visitors at once are confronted by a wall of water as they pass the covered walkway to the main living room.  The sound of the water provides a constant and cooling reminder to the senses.

An initial privacy screen from the street connects a sun deck, pool and wet edge, a confined section of turf, roofed dining deck, living, rear deck and garden, and finally the golf course. The southerly winds are controlled via the rear bi folds, naturally ventilating the living space and external dining areas located on the north side of the house.  The house itself is a vehicle for the passage of cool breeze.
