Innovative green wall project featuring the Southern Hemisphere's first circular green walls, designed to enhance biodiversity and air quality in Auckland's city centre, incorporating over 3,500 plants, predominantly New Zealand natives.
The 7 Pillars of Greenery
Conceived by our passionate team and their Australian partner Fytogreen, and working in collaboration with project landscape architects Boffa Miskell, the Federal Street green wall has a total area of 130 square metres, containing 3,500 plants.
It contains the Southern Hemisphere's first ever circular green walls, encasing seven pillars, rising to meet a 48m long living wall above.
Round and Round We Go...
Designed to introduce greenery, bio-diversity and improved air quality into this challenging city centre location, the green pillars required a creative engineering and planting approach
A lengthy research and development phase preceded the final selection and arrangement of plant species, over 80% of which are New Zealand natives.
