Upgraded Tan in the City salon in Remuera featuring sustainable design elements, including a custom reception desk made from reclaimed timber, second-hand furnishings, and VOC-free paint, reflecting the vibrant personality of the salon owner.
Since the launch of the original salon 2 years ago, the business has grown quickly. For the new Tan in the City salon in Remuera, the brief was to create an upgraded space that accommodated the addition of extra staff members and clientele.
Staying true to the original theme of sustainability with maximum impact, we utilised excess natural timber planks from another project and custom created the new reception desk. The new desk lightens and enlarges the space with its clean lines and pale hue.
The fushia pink couch was brought second hand and brings the company colours into play.
We incorporated plants and refreshed the walls in VOC free paint from The Natural Paint Company to keep the air as clean as possible.
The overall look is grown-up eclectic and is a nod to the salon owners vibrant personality.
