This beachside house was designed for family holidays and as a retreat from city life. Spectacular views on all sides were captured from all spaces, allowing one to feel immersed in the landscape and miles away from everyday life.
The house is a simple gable roof form that sits quietly in its setting, and hardy materials were chosen for minimal maintenance and longevity. The volume of the pitched roof form creates a sense of calm and airiness in the living spaces, and textured, casual materials invoke easy, relaxed bach living.
