New World Te Kauwhata Supermarket: A modern industrial design that prioritizes community interaction and the human experience, completed in 2022 for Foodstuffs North Island, showcasing a unique marketplace atmosphere through contrasting materials and authentic finishes.
PJM provided project management and contract administration services to deliver the New World Te Kauwhata supermarket, one of the first iterations of a smaller format supermarket concept.
Designed by Wingate Architects, this new approach to supermarket design was led by prioritising the human experience. Their response was the creation of a marketplace atmosphere, with a strong sense of community and interaction. The marketplace typology is accentuated by using contrasting materials and volumes, and natural and authentic materials to create a more human environment.
New World Te Kauwhata provides the quality of design that reflects the Foodstuffs brand quality, while creating a convenient and enjoyable experience.
