The client had a clear idea for what they wanted the space to become, the Headmistress had a vision for a play area with a fairy garden theme. It was lovely to work with a Headmistress who understand what her pupils love and need and is willing to bring that to life. The design intent was to create a play area for the pupils to escape reality and become part of the fairy garden elements. The main idea was to play with the scale of elements so that the children will feel like they are small fairies exploring the inner workings of a nest, flower and a bee. They then become the fairies in the garden dwarfed by the large scale of the recreated natural elements. The materials used also needed to be hardy and able to withstand the regular use of many children.

The company deals equally with residential and commercial clients. We are a family business and believe in building lasting relationships with our customers from the start. Our landscaping family consists of professional landscapers and project managers with credible, practical experience and a number of landscape apprentices who are at varying stages of their apprenticeship. We have an in-house design team that will present you with a landscaping plan after visiting your site, listening to your ideas and bringing fantastic landscaping solutions for your outdoor space.

At our yard we have built a showroom where our designers can guide you in what materials would best fit your project, e.g. paving, decking, lighting etc. You can also provide an existing plan to quote your project from and then we will guide you through the landscaping works from start to finish. Luijten Landscaping has a nursery that enables us to provide a large selection of the highest quality plants. If the nursery cannot provide the variety or quantity of plants for your project we will happily source them from one of our nationwide suppliers.
