The clients objective was to achieve a timeless, yet contemporary home, one that embraced the benefits of good health and orderly design for their busy family. Lots of smart storage was needed for appliances with areas for these to be tucked away when not in use. The clients colour preference was for a serene colour palette with contrasting timber for warmth. The uniqueness is in the colour palette of soft green with dark green compliments. We incorporated Muuto pendants over the island bench with a Muuto wall dot as a door handle to the walk in pantry and we matched the exact colour of the knob to the pendant lights.

The island bench is the largest size possible without needing a join, giving lots of space for the cook and also for the kids to sit opposite while they do their homework. We designed the kitchen nook/appliance cupboard to be hidden from view with doors when not in use while the kitchen sink purposely faces the beautiful backdrop of the backyard. We have dubbed the kitchen a ‘wellness’ kitchen due to the green accent colourings, smart storage which includes a little step shelf on the cooker side to house lovely oils and salt/pepper/spices for ease of access when cooking, and the joinery that enables the space to be closed off from view when required – which leads to a sense of order and calm, even if the washing up is yet to be done.

We design spaces that tell your story and give your vision form.

“Whatever the inspiration, true beauty endures. It is simple, authentic, and functional.
The moment you see your space — and feel that it is an extension of you — then we have done our job.”
