Marlene Hudson Design proudly presents the Western Bay Orchard project, completed in 2018, showcasing our expertise in farmhouse interior design. Our team worked closely with the homeowners who have lived in their Lockwood family home for 25 years, with plans to stay for decades to come. The brief was to modernize the space by improving lighting, expanding the kitchen area, adding a walk-in shower, and creating a timeless country feel with durable materials.

For the kitchen renovation, we maximized the available space by incorporating a bigger sink, fridge, oven, and hob, along with additional storage and bench space. By borrowing space from the dining area, we created a dedicated 'baking zone' with island seating for family involvement. Our design included innovative storage solutions such as wall cabinets, increased cabinet height, and BLUM's servo-drive systems for effortless functionality.

In the bathroom, we removed walls to create a spacious walk-in shower with two shower heads, complemented by a fully tiled room for a seamless look. Storage was enhanced with a recessed mirror cabinet and wide drawers in the custom vanity. The Western Bay Orchard project features products from top brands such as Fisher & Paykel Appliances, Blum New Zealand, and Caesarstone®, reflecting our commitment to quality and innovation in interior design.
