Inspiring specifiers
Roche Bobois's decision to open its first Australian showroom reflects its commitment to global expansion and its enduring legacy of French-inspired design excellence.
"We see Australia as a vibrant market with immense potential for luxury furniture and home accessories," remarks Eva Nosek, General Manager Australia at Roche Bobois. "Our foray into Sydney signifies a pivotal moment in our journey as we seek to establish a presence on every continent, bringing the essence of French artistry to discerning connoisseurs worldwide."
Founded in 1960, Roche Bobois boasts a storied history of international acclaim, with over 250 showrooms spanning 45 countries. This success results from the brand's relentless pursuit of excellence, driven by a desire to cater to a diverse global audience. With its finger firmly on the pulse of evolving design trends, Roche Bobois remains at the head of luxury furniture, collaborating with eminent designers and haute couture houses to curate collections that exude sophistication and style.
The choice of location for the new Roche Bobois showroom in Sydney, situated on the Pacific Highway in Roseville, was influenced by its prime visibility and connection to Sydney’s bustling city centre and the affluent upper north shore.
“The showroom features large bay windows and a generous ceiling height, creating an exclusive backdrop to showcase our iconic pieces. While our strategic positioning allows us to engage with both the local community and the broader Australian market by providing easy access to its luxurious collections and inspiring designs,” says Nosek.
“The showroom houses diverse product categories, from furnishings and accessories to rugs, frames, and furniture, catering to both commercial and residential applications. We offer a high level of personalisation through a wide range of fabrics, finishes, and colours to suit every style––enabling designers to find unique pieces that align with their creative visions.”
From sumptuous sofas to exquisite lighting fixtures, every piece is imbued with artistry and refinement, poised to elevate any interior to new heights of elegance. For interior designers, the Roche Bobois showroom is an oasis of inspiration, a playground of possibilities where visions are transformed into reality.
"We aim to empower designers with an extensive array of resources and bespoke solutions, enabling them to craft spaces that resonate with their clients' aspirations," says Nosek.
While committed to French art de vivre, Roche Bobois engages with local cultures and artistic expressions in the countries where it operates.
“In Australia, such engagement could mean collaborating with local designers, artists, or cultural events that reflect the unique Australian lifestyle and preferences, thus blending French artistry with local flavour,” says Nosek.
“This ability to balance our strong French identity with a deep appreciation for local design preferences is key to our global appeal and success.”

Bespoke approach
Central to Roche Bobois' allure is its commitment to customisation, a cornerstone of its design philosophy that resonates with the astute tastes of Australian consumers. By collaborating with renowned designers and fashion houses, the brand delivers tailor-made creations that embody the epitome of luxury living.
"Our approach to customisation goes beyond mere aesthetics—it's about crafting pieces that reflect the individuality of our clients, seamlessly blending French artistry with local sensibilities," explains Nosek.
“This approach is not just about altering the dimensions or choosing different fabrics; it's about creating pieces that resonate with the customer's personal style and the aesthetic of their living spaces.”
Nosek continues, “Given the diversity in Australian interior design—from coastal to laid-back urban—our level of customisation ensures that Roche Bobois' offerings can be adapted to reflect both French artistry and the distinctions of local Australian tastes.”
