The most common material used for metal vertical blinds is Aluminium. These types of metal blinds are both attractive and durable. Because they are rust-resistant, they are very easy to care for and will last a very long time. Additionally, metal vertical blinds or shutters add a modern and stylish touch to any room.

However, it is essential to ensure that metal blinds can move freely without any obstructions. If their slats are caught against any obstacle, there is a chance that they might bend. 

This is not an easily fixable problem as the metal will remain warped even after being bent back to the original layout. Over time this can seriously degrade the blinds’ overall appearance and aesthetic.

Ensuring the Correct Fit

Caring for Blinds

While most suppliers will provide the proper cleaning and care instructions, most blinds are very simple to keep clean and maintain. Weekly wiping with a feather duster or soft cloth will remove most dust and dirt.

For more stubborn grime on the blinds, a damp cloth and some non-abrasive cleaning liquid will usually remove the dirt quite easily and effectively.
