Aubrey Road, Wanaka

We have been recently working on this project for local clients who are looking to build their forever home in Wanaka. The site itself brought some challenges we had to overcome however we are very happy with the result. The position on site takes into account the sun path throughout the year, protected kanuka trees on western boundary and the neighbouring property which the new build will shade minimally and which clients wanted to have privacy from. The design was driven by the clients love of interior-exterior living, views at surrounding mountain tops from the mezzanine floor, direct connection between the entry and the garden which the clients wished to preserve, solar gains and sun shading, possibility of natural ventilation or use of natural materials. Looking forward to see this one built already.
