By Stephen Jones Architects
This project involved reconfiguring the interior of an 1930s Basil Hooper Arts and Crafts House in Balmoral. The bedroom and living/dining/kitchen areas were reversed in plan to bring the living areas closer to the main entrance and yard. The removal of selected interior walls allowed for an open plan living, kitchen and dining space. A strong indoor/outdoor connection was created through the use of large wooden sliding doors.
Project completed in 2013.
