Bayleys | Mount Maunganui

The new Bayley’s fitout and interior design was inspired by the beautiful coastal location, with the relaxed vibe that the Mount is known for. We also wanted to include a nod to the corporate nature of the business but infuse this with touches of softness and glamour by incorporating deep navy blues accessorized with brushed brass elements and soft sheer curtains that offer privacy behind the crittall glass partitions. Our inspiration was a bit like a smart navy skirt and blazer with a white chiffon blouse and classical gold jewellery that a professional estate agent might wear. We also took into consideration that within the Bayleys Team, there was a need to offer separate Team areas but without losing the inclusiveness of the overall Team and still capitalizing on the natural light on the street elevation. This was achieved by keeping all partition walls in glass to allow the light to travel throughout the space. We wanted the space to reflect the professional nature of people who would use it daily. It offers meeting rooms that can be closed off or opened and a mobile two-person Silent Pod meeting booth for those quick private conversations. We also challenged the client with the use of the beautiful blue external screen in a Marrakech pattern which elevates the exterior of the tenancy and provides curiosity to the public as to what lies behind... We had a lot of fun collaboratively creating the space and enjoyed working with the Team from Bayley’s who were open to something new and allowed us to give them a working environment that they enjoy and that functions well for them.
