Cantilevered Coastal Home

Designed as a contemporary coastal retreat, this custom home embodies timeless architecture, refined craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Defined by expansive glazing, cantilevered concrete forms and a restrained material palette of natural timber, stone and steel, the residence has been carefully crafted to maximise its coastal setting while creating a seamless connection between indoors and out.

A standout feature of the home is the continuous timber-lined ceilings that extend from the interior to the outdoor living spaces, requiring exceptional precision and craftsmanship to achieve perfect alignment throughout the build.

Frameless glass balustrades, oversized windows and open-plan living capture uninterrupted ocean views while flooding the home with natural light, creating spaces that feel calm, open and connected to the surrounding landscape.

The home also features a traditional Japanese-inspired onsen, offering a private wellness retreat, alongside an innovative waffle slab ceiling system that delivers superior structural performance while allowing for expansive, open living areas.

Built through close collaboration between the client, architect, consultants, suppliers and trades, every detail has been executed to the highest standard.

The result is a home where architectural vision and construction excellence come together—reflecting Hedger Constructions’ commitment to transparency, precision and enduring craftsmanship.
