Before the build of this characterful two-bedroom home could begin, there were a few minor details to take care of. Like removing the existing home to a new location. That done, the owners wanted the leadlights from the old home installed into the new windows, but the glass needed to be strengthened – and that would take time. The result is well worth it. Now in place, the leadlights create a meaningful connection between old and new. The homeowners worked closely with the builders to carry out the internal fit-out. The outcome is a contemporary home infused with the charm and personality of its delightful and delighted owners. The build also included major renovations of the existing sleepout and extensive landscaping of the backyard into a lush garden. Raised vege beds and inset garden beds are connected by concrete slab pathways and an attractive timber pergola. Thanks to its easy-care, low-maintenance layout, the outdoor area is relaxing and rewarding, and a wonderful spot to show off to guests.
