By Woods Bagot
A space for innovation, ambition and greatness.
Once part of a vast sand dune system covered by heath, low scrubs, creeks and fresh wetlands, the inner Sydney suburb of Rosebery was developed as an industrial area in the mid-20th century. Now its home to a contemporary new workplace that marks Goodman’s return to its industrial roots in South Sydney.
On the site of a former hat factory, Woods Bagot has transformed four neglected industrial buildings into a sustainable, integrated, flexible campus-style workplace. Our approach in the factory’s adaptive reuse was to touch the heritage fabric lightly—to keep what could be kept and to add as little as possible.
Woods Bagot designed a sequence of spaces deeply reflective of Goodman’s values that enticed employees to the office, provided enhanced amenity, service and a heightened focus on wellness.
