The guest cottage retreat is idyllically situated amongst the vineyards.
The interior decor brief was to keep it calm and inviting. To create calm, we kept it the colours tonal. We used high contrast of darks and lights and mixed metals and textures for depth and interest.

Sonya Cotter Design is an award winning bespoke interior design studio based in Auckland with a new studio in Matakana.
The studio has more than 20 years creating a diverse interior design portfolio spanning high-end residential builds and extensive renovations, custom multi-residential interiors and boutique lodge villas.
Our interiors feature a refined use of materials, sophisticated colour palettes and thought-provoking focal points. We work collaboratively with our clients to create carefully crafted home environments for your enjoyment. Our approach to every project is to look at it from a holistic point of view and consider all aspects of interiors, from space planning to bespoke design details, whilst having a little bit of fun along the way.
Our team offers a wealth of experience in interior architecture and decoration services, project management, and procurement.
Sonya Cotter is passionate about the development of the design industry and is a professional member of the New Zealand Institute of Design.
