Pocketspace completed a two stage renovation for GVI who are a 100% NZ owned logistics company based in Auckland Airport, with offices all over the world. Stage One involved a complete refurbishment of the ground floor, converting a traditional reception area into a progressive sign in station with a hot desk facility. WC and boardroom were also completely refreshed including new technology, window treatments to reduce glare, furniture, fittings and fixtures. The stairwell presented a chance to explore design approaches. Autex layered walls emphasise GVI’s branding and minimise echoing, signifying a scape with plane wing gestured LED lighting above. Stage Two injected life into the workplace in breakout and meeting areas, continuing the branding and material palette introduced downstairs. By opening up the lunchroom that was previously cornered into a small and inefficient space, employees now enjoy bonding and taking time away from their desks.
